KL M Proposes to Power Planing With Algae and Algae Fuels
This was sent to me by my friend. Imagine how happy I was when I read it, it convey an ideal image of algae fuels.
Take a look on this one post on recently.
For the last couple of days the Drudge Report has had a red link at the top of the page to this news story: 'Squawk Box' Guest Warns of $12-15-a-Gallon Gas In a television interview (which you can watch at that article) energy expert Robert Hirsch stated that a $12 gallon of gas is "inevitable." I think he's wrong. It's true that oil production has remained flat, but Hirsch is only counting oil that we can pump out of the ground. Biofuels are not part of his thinking. I think $5 and $6 .. click here.
It is something always coming out on top.
Good to see the airlines are taking fuel scarcity seriously, KLM joins Virgin Atlantic in trying alternative fuels, this via Radio Netherlands. Dutch airline KLM has announced plans to fuel its planes with kerosene made from algae. The company has signed an exclusive contract with the Dutch company AlgaeLink to provide fuel for a pilot project which will begin this fall, when the first test flight will take place. AlgaeLink is opening two plants this year, one in the Netherlands and ..>>.
While more information waited to be found, that is what I found:
This has all the risks of being one of those hair-brained ideas thrown together to get attention and then amounting to be less than spectacular: KLM has partnered with a firm called AlgaeLink to produce an aviation fuel derived from Algae. According to Radio Netherlands: The Dutch carrier says if all goes according to plan 12 Fokker-50 planes - representing seven percent of KLM's fleet - will fly on fuel derived from algae by 2010. Most likely, the planes will be powered by a blend of ..next.
Those who keep up to date with plenty of information know for sure that what I need.
That's all.
