State Gets New 'Green Energy'
Bio Clean Fuel Flanked by environmentalists, McGreevey administration officials announced yesterday that the state will buy 12 percent of its electricity from renewable, comparatively clean power sources. The state's new supplier, Green Mountain Energy Co., says its power comes from a mix of wind and solar facilities, landfill gas and hydro-electric plants, among other sources, although the company itself generates little electricity in the region.
Green Energy UK is part of The Green Energy (UK) PLC and offers energy that is guaranteed not to come from certain sources, such as nuclear fuel.

New research has indicated that more investment in energy efficiency could help to reduce fuel poverty.
Bio Bio Fuel Less More Waste But Tom Vincz, a spokesman for the Treasury Department said the state is seeking reimbursement for the added cost from the federal Petroleum Overcharge Reimbursement Fund, which is used to pay for initiatives of this sort. The fund's revenues come from the penalties energy companies pay when they overcharge customers.
Yes, ULSD fuels have a lower BTU value and thus when burned in a diesel engine will result in less power. Cetane enhanced products can offset this power loss. Cetane is a high energy compound that makes the fuel burn more completely in the combustion chamber, resulting in more power, reduced emissions, and improved fuel economy. Power Service diesel additives contain "+ Cetane Boost" to offset this power loss while also improving fuel economy and reducing emissions.
Make Bio Fuel A contract to buy so-called green energy from Delaware-based Conectiv, for which the state received a $1.5 million federal reimbursement, recently expired. Administration officials yesterday called the new contract "environmentally superior," however, because half of Conectiv's green power mix came from conventional power plants.

Bio Conversion Fuel Cliff Payne, president of Green Mountain Power's eastern region, said the company has 500,000 customers in seven states, but a relatively small number in New Jersey. Payne would not say how many of the 7,000 energy customers here who have switched power providers since the state opened its power markets in 1999 the company served.
Green Energy The company has a 10.4 megawatt wind power facility in Pennsylvania, as well as two solar power facilities that combined generate 75 kilowatts a day. Green Mountain buys the rest of the renewable energy it provides in the region from wholesalers, Payne said.
Bio Ethanol Fuel Vincz said the state expects to receive another $2 million from the federal fund to cover the added cost of the new contract.
Bio Clean Fuel Under the state's 1999 Electric Discount and Energy Competition Act, retail providers are required to purchase at least 4 percent of the energy they sell in the state from renewable sources by 2012.
