Japan Turns to Biofuels to Curb Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Bio Clean Fuel By Randy Chen

Each country has targets to reach for reducing greenhouse gas emissions including 8% for European Union, 7% for U.S., and 6% for Japan. The agreement provides incentives for cutting pollution through a system of emissions trading. A country that emits less than its quota of greenhouse gases can sell emission credits to polluting nations. In addition, a country may receive credits through shared clean energy programs and carbon dioxide "sinks" in the form of forest or other ecosystems that remove carbon dioxide from the air.

Earth Bio Fuel (AXcess News) Hong Kong - In an effort to curb greenhouse gas emissions, Japan is launching a new biofuel campaign in an effort the Asian Island nation hopes will reduce air polution.

Yes, ULSD fuels have a lower BTU value and thus when burned in a diesel engine will result in less power. Cetane enhanced products can offset this power loss. Cetane is a high energy compound that makes the fuel burn more completely in the combustion chamber, resulting in more power, reduced emissions, and improved fuel economy. Power Service diesel additives contain "+ Cetane Boost" to offset this power loss while also improving fuel economy and reducing emissions.

Bio Bio Fuel Less More Waste Vehicles account for 20 percent of Japan's oil consumption in a nation that is totally dependent on foreign energy imports.

Coal, mainly in power stations, covers about one quarter of our energy needs, but its use has declined since we have used more oil. Coal is the least efficient, unhealthiest and most environmentally damaging fossil fuel. New, there is probably about five times as much coal as oil. Oil Petroleum (derived from oil) provides around 40% of the world’s energy needs, mainly for cars. The US consumes around a quarter of all oil and generates a similar proportion of greenhouse gas emissions.

Make Bio Fuel Japan's Environment Ministry said it is launching a campaign to manufacture ethanol from sugar cane produced on Miyako island in Japan's southern island chain of Okinawa.

ULSD was mandated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to be sold at all retail pumps by October of 2006. This new fuel is a reduced sulfur content formula of diesel fuel. Sulfur content went from 50 parts per million (ppm) to 15 ppm in this new fuel. The reduction of sulfur is mandated to reduce sulfur dioxide emissions 2. Do new diesel engines require use of ULSD

Fuel Cell Bio The Japanese government is investing 300 billion yen (2.4 billion dollars) into the ethanol project.

Bio Conversion Fuel Japan has been a big advocate of the campaign against global warming and is the home of the Kyoto Protocol, the first treaty mandating cuts in greenhouse emissions.

Green Energy With Japan's recent economic boom, many businesses there are unable to meet the mandate of the treaty that requires them to cut green house gas emissions six percent by by 2012 from the 1990 level.

Bio Ethanol Fuel Japan's investment in the ethanol project is expected to boost the economy of Okinawa substantially, which has the highest unemployment rate in the country and is heavily reliant on tourism and US military bases.
